Question

I have a PM Lissie that I bought off ebay a few years ago. Her hair is that pinkish-auburn, and it needs a downey dunk. I wonder if it might have been trimmed an inch or so anyway. Her body is soft like the old dolls, and she has a beautiful subtle face coloring that is just to die for! Here's the bad part: her hand was chewed up by a previous owner's puppy.

I am watching a beautiful PM Lissie on ebay, because I want one with the long bright red hair.

Should I send my Lissie to the doll hospital for a new limb? Would they replace just the arm? Would they have to replace the body? Would the new body match the head? Would they (gasp) replace the head? I am rather attached to the head. I have heard that the newest Lissie have really red hair again, so maybe it wouldn't be the end of the world, but I don't know how I could part with that face! Could they send the old head back seperately if they end up needing to change the head? I want to have neck strings too, not the zip tie. Lissis'e current neck strings have been cut to about 3" each. Even though she wouldn't have the soft body anymore, she would all be flawless.

I had been looking for a gotz doll on ebay to use for a bady, but I want the hair on Lissie to be different anyway. It is too pink.

I need your advice!!!! What shoud I do??

one other thing: If they end up replacing more than I asked them to, do they bill me for it?

DON'T send her lovely head to the AG Hospital! They would replace her arm, except that the vinyl won't match a PM doll, so they would wind up replacing her arms, legs, and head, OR, they might even just send you a new Mattel Felicity! (Then it would be bye-bye valuable PM Lissie!!AAAAAHHHH!!!!)
However, they wouldn't charge any extra over what you asked for, if that's any comfort.

What I would do would be to find a cheap PM fixer-upper from ebay, and use that doll for "parts" to replace your Lissie's arm. If you don't know what to do with the rest of the parts doll, please PM me! I'd love to take it off your hands!
(Just my humble opinion, and well-meant advice..)

Good luck, whatever you decide about your Lissie!

Could I ask for a new body and make a special note that I want them to make sure any old parts get sent back to me too?

Actually, I'm pretty sure you could do that, too. Check the AG website under customer service for the doll hospital form, or you could call the customer service number, and ask.
Not sure I remember exactly, but I think a new body(including torso and limbs) costs $38.00 plus shipping.
Now, why didn't I think of that?

P.S. But, I'd be SURE to include a note asking that your old parts be sent back!!
